Venezuela Earthquake Emergency Relief

On June 24, 2026, Venezuela was struck by two powerful earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude. The quakes caused widespread destruction in the capital, Caracas, surrounding areas, and along the country's northern coast. At least 235 people have lost their lives and more than 4,300 have been injured. Numerous buildings collapsed or suffered severe damage, leaving thousands of families homeless. As aftershocks continue across the affected regions, search and rescue operations, along with humanitarian relief efforts, are being carried out under extremely challenging conditions.

We Act with Humanitarian Responsibility and Compassion

The devastating humanitarian situation in Venezuela calls on us to fulfill our moral and humanitarian responsibility, regardless of religion, language, or geography. The mercy that Islam teaches calls us to respond not to a person's identity, but to their suffering. A believer does not question who the oppressed are; instead, they seek to relieve their pain to the best of their ability.

We Have Begun Delivering Emergency Relief Supplies

With this understanding, the Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF) has launched the Venezuela Earthquake Emergency Relief Campaign to support those affected by the disaster who are struggling to access food, clean water, and shelter. We are continuing our efforts to deliver food parcels, hot meals, clean drinking water, medicines, blankets, tents, and other essential emergency supplies to earthquake survivors across the affected areas.
