The Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF) never abandons the oppressed hearts, striving to dry their tears echoing in the lands of the oppressed, even slightly, and to ease the pains that break hearts. IDDEF delivers essential living supplies such as food packages, meals, fuel, cash aid, and medicine, shouldering the burden of the oppressed and the victimized. You too can support and speak up for the oppressed!
IDDEF responds to the cries of the oppressed every day of the year and intensifies its efforts in regions where living conditions worsen during cold winter months. Under the slogan "Speak Up for the Oppressed," IDDEF carries out emergency aid activities for Gaza under genocide and attack, Idlib suffering from war, Yemen facing the world's largest hunger crisis, Afghanistan trying to heal the wounds of occupation, Bangladesh and Pakistan struggling with flood disasters, and tens of thousands of Syrian families fighting for survival in harsh winter conditions in the tent camps of Arsal, Lebanon. By delivering basic humanitarian needs, IDDEF aims to ease the lives of people in difficulty, even slightly.
Since October 7, 2023, occupying Israel has been committing genocide against Gaza through aerial and ground attacks. Tens of thousands of people, mostly women and children, have lost their lives, and hundreds of thousands have been injured. In Gaza, killer Israel particularly targets civilian residential areas, bombing everywhere, including schools and hospitals. IDDEF, working to heal wounds from day one, distributes 25,000 liters of water daily with two tankers, 1,200 chicken wraps, 500 bread packs, and 1,000 servings of rice and canned meat. Weekly, 3,000 food packages are distributed, consisting of vegetable-fruit packs and hygiene kits based on need. Three ambulances and two water facilities are in service, while tents and winter supplies are also provided.
The north of Syria, experiencing one of the greatest human tragedies in history during the nearly 14-year civil war, is in urgent need of aid. From the very first day, IDDEF has not abandoned war-affected families and provides food packages, fuel, flour, bread, blankets, and baby formula to families living in the 620 brick houses it built, in tents, and in makeshift shelters set up with their own means in Idlib. IDDEF also constructs mosques and deep-feature water wells and supports the "Idlib 100,000 Brick Homes" campaign, initiated under the coordination of AFAD, by building brick homes."
IDDEF continues its uninterrupted emergency aid efforts in Yemen, where the world’s largest humanitarian crisis persists due to the civil war, standing by war-affected families with the support of benefactors. In regions where displaced individuals have taken refuge, food aid consisting of rice, cooking oil, flour, and sugar, as well as sacrificial meat and blankets, is provided. In Yemen, where misery and poverty are at their peak, 150,000 people have died due to the civil war, 17 million Yemenis cannot access secure food, and 2 million children suffer from severe malnutrition. Yemeni families are currently preparing for harsh winter conditions and struggling with the cold.
Afghanistan, which suffered destruction for many years at the hands of occupiers, is going through tough times due to the humanitarian crisis and successive earthquakes and floods. Supporting Afghanistan's struggle, which entered a rapid recovery phase post-occupation, IDDEF aids with water wells, madrasas, prayer rooms, mosques, and emergency supplies to make lives easier during the cold winter months. IDDEF, loading significant aid onto "trains of goodness" sent from Turkey to Afghanistan with the support of benefactors, becomes the voice of the oppressed in the country. In this ancient Islamic land, facing a deep economic crisis, the Afghan people, growing poorer, are waiting for help from the world. In a country of 40 million people, approximately 18 million are in need and struggling to access secure food.
IDDEF carries out emergency aid activities in Lebanon, where Zionist killer Israel launched attacks after Gaza. Hot meals and food packages are distributed to families in shelters where displaced people have taken refuge. With the approach of winter, projects related to tents, blankets, and heating are being implemented. IDDEF also does not forget Syrian refugee families who fled the war in Syria and sought refuge in Lebanon. In the Arsal region, IDDEF provides aid to approximately 70,000 Syrian families struggling under harsh winter conditions in tent camps, delivering food, blankets, mattresses, and fuel. The lives of families in unprotected nylon tents become unbearable during snowfalls.
The intense monsoon rains in Bangladesh, a South Asian country, have caused severe flooding, leaving millions of people facing hard times. IDDEF continues its emergency campaign for people affected by floods and struggling to access safe food. The campaign includes fumigation to prevent diseases caused by floods, hot meal distribution, clean water, food packages, tents, and mosquito nets.
IDDEF continues its daily distribution of hot bread in Aleppo, Syria, and has accelerated its relief efforts in the region. In Aleppo, where civilians are enduring difficult times, significant efforts are being made to meet basic food needs.
IDDEF teams operate mobile bakeries at various locations throughout the city, producing thousands of loaves of bread daily and delivering them to those in need. Working tirelessly day and night to address the community’s essential nutritional needs, the teams ensure uninterrupted aid despite challenging conditions. In addition to bread distributions, IDDEF also organizes the delivery of food packages and essential living supplies to families affected by the conflicts.
