The successful educational efforts of the Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF) continue to transform the spiritual landscape of Africa. In the West African country of Guinea, IDDEF conducts intensive educational work, especially at the Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu Complex in the capital city, Conakry, and in various other cities through the establishment of schools (madrasa). A project specifically aimed at visually impaired individuals is also being carried out. Within the scope of this project, visually impaired students learn Arabic using the Braille alphabet and receive education in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), the life of the Prophet (siyer), and religious sciences, alongside reading the Quran.
With their exceptional efforts, visually impaired students participated in the Quran reading competition held in the capital city, Conakry, nationwide. In this competition, visually impaired students educated at the IDDEF medrese achieved four out of the top five positions.
According to a statement from IDDEF, "Our educational project for the visually impaired, which we started in Guinea, is bearing fruit. By always being there for our brothers and sisters who hold on to life with knowledge and education, we initiated education for them in our medrese. Because those involved in the work for the visually impaired face a challenging life struggle and encounter problems like poverty, lack of resources, lack of education, and discrimination in the country. We provide all necessary resources free of charge to our brothers and sisters, including Braille typewriters, paper, paper punches, writing rulers, and special stationery items for their education. Classes comprising adult men and women, as well as children, are proceeding very successfully. We confirmed the results of this success with the achievements in the nationwide competition. Our brothers and sisters who hold on to life with hope and happiness continue their educational journey with peace. We thank all our benefactors."
You can support our brothers and sisters who are visually impaired children and adults, helping them hold on to life and learn religious and scientific knowledge. By assisting them, you can be a beacon of hope for those who see with their hearts and gain confidence and hope as educated members of society.
