The 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province on November 3 caused massive destruction. According to official statements, 27 people lost their lives, 956 were injured, and 1,037 homes were completely destroyed.

Following the disaster, the Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF) immediately reached the affected region and began relief efforts without delay. IDDEF teams supported earthquake survivors with hot meal distribution, food aid, and humanitarian assistance in the affected areas.
IDDEF continues to work actively on the ground to support the oppressed Afghan people who are struggling to survive under harsh conditions, contributing to relief efforts with a spirit of solidarity and brotherhood.

Donors can support those affected in Afghanistan by visiting the website www.iddef.org, writing “Afghanistan Emergency Relief” in the description when sending FAST/EFT/remittance to the relevant account numbers, visiting IDDEF’s offices across various provinces and districts in Turkey, or by calling the call center at 0212 621 0065 for more information.
