IDDEF Constructed a Mosque in Ivory Coast

In Ivory Coast, a West African country where we continue our educational and humanitarian efforts in a planned and sustainable manner, we have completed the construction of a mosque and held its grand opening. The ceremony was attended by esteemed scholars from our board of directors, our Muslim community, the mosque's donor, and the local population.

The Zahide Buhara Mosque, constructed in the city of Issia, located about 400 kilometers from the capital Abidjan, and home to 120,000 people, was opened to the public following the recitation of the Holy Qur'an and the Friday salah.

In the opening ceremony speech, it was stated that the mosque would allow the local people to perform their prayers with greater ease. Additionally, it was highlighted that the mosque is intended to serve as a center where the Muslim community can gather, participate in dialogues., and pursue Islamic knowledge.

We are continuously expanding and advancing our educational and humanitarian activities across Africa. Issia is home to around 120,000 people, half of whom are followers of Islam. By building this mosque, which covers an area of 200 square meters, we aim to meet a significant need. This mosque project will empower the Muslim community, providing them a beautiful new place of worship to practice their faith.
