Relief Efforts in Gaza Continue Without a Single Day of Interruption

Since October 7, 2023, IDDEF has been working continuously in Gaza, where people are facing widespread destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis, helping provide access to essential needs with the support of generous donors.

The genocide and destruction in Gaza since October 7, 2023, have profoundly affected the lives of millions of people. Despite the years that have passed, serious challenges remain in accessing basic necessities, from shelter and food to clean water and healthcare. Reports published by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in September 2026 show that civilians in Gaza continue to face widespread destruction, ongoing attacks, displacement, water and sanitation problems, and food insecurity.

Access to clean water, in particular, remains a major challenge in Gaza. Ninety-one percent of households are experiencing moderate or severe water insecurity, with many families relying on water tankers to survive. The approaching rainy season also poses new risks for families living in inadequate shelter conditions.

Food remains one of the most urgent needs in Gaza. Despite the efforts of humanitarian organizations, the number of people requiring food assistance remains high, while relief operations continue to face funding and access constraints. In September, humanitarian partners prepared hundreds of thousands of hot meals each day, while bakeries continued producing bread.

The Federation of Associations That Value Humanity (IDDEF) continues to stand by the Palestinian people through its uninterrupted humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

Through its teams on the ground, IDDEF provides hot meals and fresh bread to families in need, while continuing to distribute clean drinking water by tanker and construct new water wells. Food parcels, canned food, fresh fruit and vegetables, and clothing are also delivered to those in need. Cash assistance is provided to families struggling under difficult conditions, helping them meet their essential needs according to their own priorities.

A hot meal brings food to a family’s table, a container of clean water helps meet the needs of a neighborhood, a food parcel provides essential supplies for days, and canned food becomes a vital source of nourishment for a family living under extremely difficult conditions.
