The Foundation Has Been Laid, With Your Support It Will Rise Quickly

The Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF), continuing its education and humanitarian work in Afghanistan, has signed off on 52 facilities with the support of benefactors, one of which is the Khalid bin Walid Complex in Wardak. Following assessments and consultations, the need for such a permanent facility in Wardak was identified, and IDDEF immediately took action. Work is underway so that the complex, whose foundation has been laid, will rise quickly and be put into service for our Afghan brothers and sisters.

Wardak: One of the Provinces Most Affected by War

Years of war and ongoing embargoes in Afghanistan have caused severe economic and social hardships. Children have always been the biggest victims, and Wardak is among the provinces most affected by war. With the orphan rate reaching nearly 80% in the region, IDDEF’s complex project will provide both shelter and education for orphaned children.

A Fully Equipped Facility Offering Quality Services

In the first phase, the madrasas built in the complex will cover a total area of 610 m² with 20 classrooms of 24 m² each and 10 dormitories. The orphan madrasa will accommodate around 500 students, offering both Islamic and scientific education along with shelter. The complex will also include three boarding madrasas with 28 classrooms each on a total area of 1,220 m², a mosque for 1,000 people on 450 m², and a dining hall on 250 m². To support students’ needs, ablution areas, washing facilities, solar-powered laundry units, kitchens, and furnished dormitories will also be built.
