Burkina Faso Model Village Mosque Project

IDDEF, which has been carrying out education, humanitarian aid, and permanent works since 2011 in the West African country of Burkina Faso, ensures that villages gain access to electricity, water, and production through its Model Village projects. Within this scope, IDDEF is building mosques with the support of donors, so that the people of Burkina Faso can perform their prayers in a clean and organized environment. You too can touch the lives of our Muslim brothers and sisters by strengthening them and enabling them to have places of worship where they can carry out their religious and social activities.

As in many parts of Africa, people in the villages of Burkina Faso are deprived of basic places of worship. Mosques are not only for prayer; they also serve as centers of social solidarity, education, and peace. Through mosques, our Muslim brothers and sisters living in these regions are given the opportunity to worship Allah (SWT) in a safe, clean, and peaceful environment.

In the concept of the Model Village project, the mosque will be a 120-square-meter brick structure with a veranda, fully furnished and equipped with an electrical system, ready for service. With the thought of “Let one brick in the wall or one tile on the roof of Allah’s houses on earth be from me,” you can donate any amount you wish. Our Almighty Allah (SWT) states in the Qur’an: “The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, give zakat, and fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.” (At-Tawbah 9:18)

The mosques built within the rural villages of Burkina Faso as part of this project serve as centers of spiritual support, education, community unity, and solidarity.
