How Does IDDEF Deliver Aid to Blockaded Gaza?

How Does IDDEF Deliver Aid to Blockaded Gaza?
Since October 7, 2023, IDDEF has been delivering your aid — including food, medicine, and shelter — to oppressed and victimized Palestinian families struggling to survive under the attacks of the Israeli occupation forces.

As IDDEF, we provide emergency aid to the Gaza Strip, which is under siege by Israel from air, land, and sea, and subjected to relentless bombardments and genocide. Our aid convoys, loaded with medicine, medical supplies, food, and water, continue to reach hospitals, schools, and our oppressed brothers and sisters. Aid is supplied in limited amounts through the Rafah Border Crossing from Egypt and via Jordan.

Every day, although insufficient in number, a few food trucks enter Gaza. Markets exist where basic goods are sold, but they cover only a fraction of the need. Some residents also cultivate land and harvest vegetables — Gaza’s people never give up. From our Emergency Aid Logistics Warehouse in Cairo, Egypt, we send shipments of essential supplies. We also procure basic food from local markets inside Gaza and distribute it free of charge./p>

We cook and distribute hot meals every day. Our ambulances provide 24/7 service in the Shifa Hospital area. We transport clean water from functioning purification plants by tanker trucks to areas without water. With the limited supplies in our warehouses, we are on the ground daily.

Whenever border crossings open, we are on standby 24/7 to intervene immediately. To avoid delays, our trucks are prepared and ready to move.

Our goal is to keep the genocide in Gaza on the global agenda as an undeniable reality. Our aid efforts are not temporary; they are sustainable and systematically planned.

Because of the ongoing heavy bombardments, mobility is extremely limited. In Palestine, ambulances, hospitals, and infrastructure are being targeted; electricity and water are cut off. Even though our teams are present inside Gaza, due to attacks and other challenges, they cannot always be on active distribution.

With your support, we have provided ambulances and established two water purification plants. However, one of our ambulances and one purification plant were destroyed by Israeli occupation forces.

The aid we send to Gaza, which is enduring one of the bloodiest and most violent assaults of recent times, will be as necessary for the future as it is today. Through the opening of humanitarian corridors, aid deliveries will continue.
