BAĞIŞ YAP BIOSAND FILTER PROJECT
Maintaining its operations under the banner of ‘sustainability and permanentness’, İDDEF launched its first Biosand Filter Project in Philippines. Biosand filter removes up to 99% of the water-borne, disease causing pathogens and serves drinkable water.
These maintenance-free filters can run for years and solve water crisis. In İDDEF’s first biosand filter operation, 60 filters are distributed to the locals of Zamboanga, the Philippines.
This campaign encompasses the regions that have difficulty in refining water during the rainy season due to the financial and physical impossibilities. We aim to expand the campaign to the Philippines, India and Cambodia in South Asia, to Guineau, South Nigeria and Uganda in the Equatorial Africa.
India will be the second step of the Biosand project. We regularly distribute 100 units of Biosand filter every month.
