The Federation of Associations That Value Humanity (IDDEF), with the support of benefactors, delivers emergency food and humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of victims and oppressed people in Sudan who are struggling with hunger, thirst, and disease under the shadow of conflict, while also supporting the Goodness Ship that set sail under the leadership of AFAD. Prepared within this scope, the Goodness Ship was sent off from Mersin Port with the participation of state officials and NGO representatives.

Türkiye, under AFAD coordination and with the support of NGOs, has previously sent off three separate ships to Sudan, delivering thousands of tons of humanitarian aid consisting of food, medicine, medical supplies, clothing, hygiene items, and shelter materials to the Sudanese people, ensuring that affected Sudanese families are never left alone.

In a statement by IDDEF, it was said: “We are witnessing an important campaign of goodness for Sudan, which has long been struggling with war, internal conflict, and a deep humanitarian crisis. Millions of people in Sudan face serious difficulties in accessing food, clean water, and even the most basic humanitarian needs. This situation has made humanitarian aid not a choice, but an urgent responsibility.”

Emphasizing that everything begins with valuing human life, the statement continued as follows:
“Within the scope of these efforts carried out with an understanding that values humanity, humanitarian aid materials prepared with the contributions of IDDEF have been loaded onto the Goodness Ship. Each aid package loaded will be a greeting from our country to our brothers and sisters in Sudan who are struggling to survive under harsh conditions. May Allah be pleased with all our benefactor donors who supported this meaningful humanitarian mobilization. The aid entrusted by you is being loaded onto the ships today and is setting off toward Sudan. This Goodness Ship carries not only relief supplies, but also brotherhood, compassion, and human dignity.”

Within the scope of the “Sudan Emergency Aid” campaign launched by IDDEF for Sudan, which is under the heavy impact of an ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by continued conflicts, food parcels, clean water, hygiene products, and various first-aid supplies prepared by IDDEF continue to be delivered to the region.
