NUMBERS 500 THOUSAND
At the beginning of the events, the number of Muslims in the refugee camps of Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh crossing the Nef river exceeded 500. BANGLADESH INVESTIGATION BECOMES A PERMANENT SOLUTION
Stating that emergency food aid is not a permanent solution, İDDEF Chief Executive Mehmet Turan said that they had consulted with Bangladesh Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan for permanent solutions. Underlining that 250,000 children who took refuge in Bangladesh were deprived of education and were targeted by extremist groups, Turan said they would develop a training-focused, permanent solution for Arakanese Muslims in Bangladesh.

In the second stage, the tent city project, which will be held at the capacity of ten thousand families, is being carried out together with Cemiyetu'l Ulama, one of the most influential non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh.
