IDDEF Delivers Tents to Gaza Following Ceasefire
As part of its shelter relief efforts, IDDEF has delivered the first batch of 500 tents to northern Gaza after the ceasefire was established. These tents aim to provide safe and dignified shelter for families who lost their homes during the war.

The Federation of Associations that Value Humanity (IDDEF) has been conducting uninterrupted humanitarian relief efforts with full force since October 7, 2023, in response to the occupying Israel’s attacks and genocide in Gaza, and has accelerated its aid operations following the ceasefire. IDDEF has delivered the first batch of 500 tents — each 16 square meters, waterproof, and fire-resistant — to the northern region of Gaza to help civilians trapped amid massive destruction, provide safe spaces, and meet food and shelter needs. IDDEF teams have begun quickly setting up the tents while food aid continues to be distributed to families.

In a statement by IDDEF, it was said: “Since the first day of the occupying Israel’s attacks, we have been carrying out emergency aid operations. After the ceasefire, hundreds of thousands of our Palestinian brothers and sisters have continued to return to Gaza’s northern regions from the central and southern parts. However, when our oppressed and afflicted brothers and sisters arrive in the north, they are met with total devastation. In regions where homes, hospitals, schools, and all infrastructure are completely destroyed, we are conducting relief operations focusing primarily on shelter and food. As winter approaches, we are setting up life tents and delivering food aid for families forced to live on the streets.”

Regarding the tent city, the statement said: “Once the infrastructure and sewage systems are completed, the tents will be set up. Each of our 16-square-meter tents, built with galvanized pipes, waterproof fabric, zippered doors, covered windows, mosquito nets, UV-protected outer layers, and heat- and cold-resistant lining and insulation materials, will greatly ease the shelter needs of our Gazan brothers and sisters. The tents, which will protect against the summer heat, also have PE flooring and a chimney outlet to allow stove installation during the winter months. For more than one million Palestinians forced to leave their destroyed homes, our tents will serve as a lifeline.”
